The 2000
season is right around the corner. I'm have set some
goals for the season. I made most of my '99 goals but I
didn't win any races, went home undefeated twice (rain
out in the quarter finials at two different tracks). Here
they are, I want to get the car running in the mid to
high 11's in the quarter and in the mid to low 7's in the
eight mile. I want to win at least 2 races (not rounds)
and win over $1000 without breaking any major parts.
Below are some of the things I'm doing to accomplish this
year's goals.
1/31/2000
I got a racing jacket for Christmas. I bought a new seat
cover (Blue and Black). I'm working on saving up for a
new rearend kit for the 8.5" 10 bolt (Moser). Other
parts on the list are a 4500 stall converter, new Demon
750 Carb, and a new fiber glass hood. I am also working
on getting the car repainted. More to come . . .
2/13/2000
I forgot some other things that I also want to do to the
car; change back to a 4.56 gear, switch the brakes over
to manual. I'm thinking of going with a complete fiber
glass frontend and do the carb later, not sure what I'm
going to do yet. Still to cold to work on the car but the
season will be here soon . . .
3/12/2000
The brakes are 95% done. I now have the Demon carb,
rearend parts (including the 4.56 gear), converter, and
my 4" cowel hood is on order. I will be installing
all these parts soon...

I found out why the car was running so slow! I
throught that the timing was set to 38 but it was 42 or
more. It's like a new car. Also, put on a new Blue Holley fuel pump w/spring for 19
psi, BG relay, took out 1" spacer, changed jets back
to org. 76/83, put shroud back on. New Accel 0276
non-res. Plugs - gap .045. Rewired MSD 6AL box.
